Dr. Michael J. Misialek Launches Website for Better Understanding of the Value of Pathology
Dr. Michael J. Misialek, a board certified pathologist, has launched Path Report as the first ever website designed for helping people understand the value of pathologists in healthcare.
The website will also help those understand their pathology report and laboratory tests. Dr. Misialek reports on health-related news stories, highlighting precision medicine and cancer.
Live streaming of his pathology related Tweets are featured. As a frequent contributor for media outlets in Boston, MA, his blogs are focused. People can also learn which screening tests are appropriate to maintain good health. Likewise, a section devoted to men’s health outlines essential resources on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle for men. Also included and featured are recent interviews.
Currently, Dr. Misialek serves at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA as the Associate Chair of Pathology. He is Medical Director for the Vernon Cancer Center as well as the Chemistry and Point of Care Laboratories. This certified pathologist practices in every area of pathology within a busy community teaching hospital. He is a strong advocate for pathology and serves on numerous committees with the College of American Pathologists. He is an expert in both anatomic and clinical pathology, including the study and examination of specimens.
“Cancer diagnoses may be lengthy as they need to describe many aspects that will affect the patient’s treatment and outcome. Sometimes, there are diseases that are subtle and difficult to diagnose or other disease processes that are considered controversial or unclear,” explains Dr. Misialek.
“Pathologists have a key role in the care of populations through disease prevention,” he adds.
