Grapheno is the name of the company and the first product created by Louisiana Tech University’s Louisiana New Product Development Team (LA NPDT). Grapheno is a conductive coating that can be used to protect electronics from electromagnetic interferences (EMI). The company was formed to better market their new tech product and is now seeking investors and early adopters to help increase the visibility and bring this product to market.
Shreveport, Louisiana– Grapheno is the first product by the LA NPDT that the team believes has extreme market potential. This conductive coating compound made of graphene and paint protects sensitive electronics by absorbing harmful and unnecessary electromagnetic interferences (EMI) that often results in damage to electronics, data loss, and interruption of vital modes of communication. Current electronics are protected using far more expensive methods of coating that utilize precious metals. Grapheno solves this problem by substituting metals with low-cost graphene mass produced using a proprietary technology. Grapheno is a product that has potential for wide-spread use because it 1) solves a common problem for a large market, 2) is far more affordable than products currently in use. The LA NPDT team has taken the product to showcase events with highly positive reception and now believes that it has a market, strategy, and business plan that can propel Grapheno into a global company. They are currently looking for investors and early adopters to help fund a product facility in Louisiana.
“We believe this product has incredible potential to revolutionize how tech and electronic manufacturers protect their products,” says LA NPDT lead engineer Dr. Konstantin Dolgan. “It can replace the expensive coatings currently being used by electronics manufacturers and contractors with something much more affordable and just as effective. We’re looking for investors who see that potential and wish to be a part of bringing this incredible solution to market.”
Conductive shielding coatings are widely used by industrial companies that provide electronics, telecom, and medical equipment, as well as, government entities and oil & gas companies. Based on a BCC Research study published in 2014, the market for companies that use conductive coating products is around $2B a year. Grapheno is currently seeking partners, early adopters, and investors to help bring this product to market.
